Semantic Discovery
SemanticHacker.com is home of the TextWise SemanticHacker API and we're bold enough to call it the world's first open API for semantic discovery.
Semantic discovery is a way to find information without knowing explicitly what you're looking for BUT "you know it when you see it." Semantic discovery does not punish you for using the wrong keywords.
We built the API for clients and users to actively engage with our core technology - Semantic Signatures®. See our Semantic Signatures® in action on the right.
What Semantic Signatures® Do
Try out Semantic Signature® technology right here, right now.
Type, or paste, up to 2000 characters of any piece of text and click
submit to create and view a Semantic Signature® and discover
related Wikipedia articles. To develop your own applications,
Sign Up,
and access the API.

Simplified Semantic Signature®
Semantic Signatures® are built from weighted concepts. This
simplified display shows the concept on the left, with its
respective weight on the right. The weights represent the
significance of ALL topics in the block of text. For the purpose
of this demo, we are only displaying the top 5 concepts. Also, the
weights have been placed on a 1 through 100 scale, 100 being the
highest significance possible.
Related Wikipedia Articles
These are the most semantically related articles to the given input text using
Semantic Signatures® technology. We have created an index of Semantic
Signatures® with all 2+ million articles of the English Wikipedia. Dive
deeper into our work with Wikipedia relations by installing the
Wikipedia Extension Demo.
